Synergos Farms

Nurturing Communities Through Nutrient-Rich Food

Meet Drew & Gretchen Blomstrom, the husband and wife duo who are on a mission to inspire communities, support and start local farms, and build meaningful relationships through nutrient-rich food. They don’t stop there either, part of their core mission is educating families and communities about high-nutrient, low-toxin, real food, and how to obtain it. Growing nutrient-rich and mineral-rich foods for you, with you, and alongside you.

“Start growing something today. Land is not a prerequisite; all that is needed is a passion for growth, a willingness to learn from failures, and the courage to persevere.”

In Santa Fe, Texas, lies Synergos Farms, a local, family-owned farm that has been making a significant impact on the Houston area community. Owned and operated by Drew and Gretchen (along with some adorable assistants), Synergos Farms is on a mission to not only provide food for the community, but educate others on how to better take care of their resources and themselves.

When it comes to what they bring to the market, Synergos Farms specializes in pasture-raised and grass-fed finished meats, offering an array of high-quality options to their customers. Additionally, their poultry section boasts a variety of chicken and duck eggs, known for their exceptional taste and nutritional value. Synergos Farms is also committed to providing a healthy assortment of seasonal vegetables and fruits, lately bringing items like mulberries and scallop squash to the market! Drew and Gretchen take pride in going beyond organic certifications, focusing on regenerative farming practices that prioritize soil health, biodiversity, and sustainable food production.

The past year has presented its fair share of challenges for Synergos Farms, with one of the major hurdles being the difficulty of keeping up with the surging demand. However, this obstacle has also been a testament to their success, as it underscores the growing support and appreciation they have garnered within the community. In the midst of these challenges, Drew and Gretchen consider one of their biggest wins to be the opportunity to work alongside their family while starting and expanding the farm's operations.

When asked about what he loves most about his business, Drew emphasized “The relationships that we get to build with our customers, as we educate them on the foods that they are buying and how they can continue to not just purchase from us but other local farms from around the greater Houston area.” This commitment to community-building and collaboration lies at the core of Synergos Farms' philosophy.

For young farmers looking to grow their businesses, Drew and Gretchen offer some valuable advice: “start growing something today. Land is not a prerequisite; all that is needed is a passion for growth, a willingness to learn from failures, and the courage to persevere.” Synergos Farms stands as a testament to the power of determination and a genuine love for sustainable agriculture.

To engage with Synergos Farms beyond the farmers market, there are several avenues available. The Stewardship Team offers a unique opportunity to spend time on the farm, gaining hands-on knowledge about their practices and the origins of their food. In addition, the farm will host tours, summer camps, and a Regeneration Weekend throughout the summer, catering to individuals of all ages. Synergos Farms also actively engages with the community through social media, providing educational content, inspiration, and empowerment. Excitingly, they will soon launch a YouTube channel to further connect with their audience.

Synergos Farms exemplifies the positive impact that local businesses can have on their communities. Their dedication to sustainable farming practices, nutrient-rich food, and fostering meaningful relationships with their customers sets a remarkable standard for other businesses in the Houston area. We our honored to work with such amazing people and are so excited to see the things Synergos will do as they continue to grow!
